This is a one-way expedition. You reach Chandigarh on day 1 under your own arrangements and leave from Manali on day 7 — they are about 300 km apart, so book your onward travel from Manali, not Chandigarh.
Altitude is the real difficulty here
Kaza sits near 3,800 m and Komik higher still, with Kunzum La above 4,500 m on the way to Chandratal. Day 2 is deliberately an acclimatisation drive. Anyone with heart or breathing conditions should take medical advice before booking.
Cancellation here is unusually strict
Fifty per cent of the trip cost is forfeit even when cancelling more than 30 days ahead, 75% inside 30 days, and nothing is refunded within 15 days. The booking amount is non-refundable throughout, and weather disruption earns no refund — only alternative arrangements.

The convoy option needs your own capable vehicle
At ₹22,000 you drive your own car in the managed convoy. Spiti's roads include river crossings, loose scree and unmetalled sections — a low-clearance hatchback is not suitable, and your fuel and repairs are your own cost.
