Eight days that start on the Dal Lake and end at the Golden Temple. Spend your first night on a traditional houseboat, see the Mughal gardens of Srinagar, and take day trips to Gulmarg and Sonamarg. Then drive south through the saffron fields to Pahalgam and its valleys of Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari, before crossing the Jammu hills to Katra for darshan at Mata Vaishno Devi. The trip ends in Amritsar with the Golden Temple and the Wagah Border ceremony.
Group departure on 22 October 2026: 7 nights in a houseboat and 3-star hotels, breakfast and dinner every day, and all transfers and sightseeing. Prices include GST. Add the Gulmarg Gondola and the union cabs in Sonamarg and Pahalgam for Rs 26,400 per person in all.
We meet you at Srinagar airport and drive about 35 minutes to your houseboat on the Dal Lake, crossing the Jhelum at Abdullah Bridge and passing the Dal Gate market. After a short rest, visit the Mughal gardens, laid out in terraces below the Zabarwan hills, and end the day on the water with a Shikara ride past the floating gardens and lit-up houseboats.

Gondola tickets are issued online against each traveller's photo ID, so please send ID copies when you book. Phase 2 runs subject to weather.

Every pilgrim needs an RFID Yatra card, free at the counters in Katra. Helicopter seats (Katra to Sanjichhat) sell out weeks ahead; tell us at booking if you want one and we will try to get it.
Union cabs
Outside vehicles are not allowed beyond the towns of Sonamarg and Pahalgam. From there, local union cabs take over: private, not shared, at rates fixed by the union. Add them as add-ons.

October is crisp and clear, around 3 to 18 °C in Kashmir and colder at Gulmarg and the Gondola top. Pack warm layers, and good walking shoes for the yatra.
