Cookie Policy

Document key: cookie_policy_v1 Version: 1.0.0 Effective date: 2026-05-28

DRAFT — pending legal review.

This Cookie Policy explains how Prayana uses cookies and similar device-storage technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, SDKs in the mobile app) on the Platform.

1. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small file stored on your device by the browser when you visit a website. The Platform also uses similar mechanisms in its mobile apps.

2. Categories we use

2.1 Strictly necessary

Authentication session, language preference, cart contents, and the record of your own cookie choice. These cannot be disabled; the Platform will not function without them.

2.2 Functional

Recently-viewed listings, saved search filters, dark-mode preference.

2.3 Analytics

Aggregated usage analytics (page views, funnel completion, feature adoption). We use first-party analytics primarily; some events are also sent to Google Analytics 4. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics runs with analytics storage denied under Google Consent Mode: it sets no cookies and reports only aggregate, non-identifying signals.

2.4 Marketing

Google AdSense advertising cookies — opt-in only. AdSense is not loaded at all until you accept advertising cookies.

2.5 Operational

Sentry (error monitoring) — captures stack traces and a redacted request context for diagnostics.

3. Consent

3.1 On first visit, the Platform displays a consent banner. You may accept all, reject non-essential, or fine-tune per category.

3.2 You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Cookies.

3.3 We do not set non-essential cookies until you opt in. Google Analytics loads in a cookieless mode before that choice is made; advertising scripts are not loaded at all.

4. Third parties

The third-party cookies / SDKs we may load (subject to your consent):

| Provider | Purpose | |---|---| | Google Analytics 4 | Aggregated analytics (cookieless until you opt in) | | Google AdSense | Advertising (opt-in; not loaded until accepted) | | Sentry | Error monitoring | | Razorpay / Stripe | Payment processing (loaded only on checkout) | | Mapbox / Google Maps | Map rendering |

Each provider's privacy policy is linked from the consent settings.

5. Mobile app

Our mobile app uses native equivalents (UserDefaults, SharedPreferences, app SDKs). Tracking transparency prompts are shown on iOS as required by Apple.

6. Your rights and how to exercise them

Withdraw or change your consent. Go to Settings → Privacy → Cookies at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as giving: one action, from the same screen. Withdrawal does not affect anything done while your consent was in force.

Your other rights. You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. How to do so is set out in the Privacy Policy, which also lists what each category of data is used for and how long it is kept.

How long cookie choices last. Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we ask again. We also ask again if this Cookie Policy changes in a way that affects what you agreed to.

Grievances. Contact our Grievance Officer at simpleaisolutions@prayanaai.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Languages. This policy is published in English. A copy in any language in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution is available on request from the Grievance Officer.

7. Changes

We will update this Cookie Policy if we add new categories or providers.
