Ubud stay for family with elderly: Budget hostel vs. Mid-range hotel? Need advice on comfort and accessibility!
Namaste everyone! My husband and I are planning a trip to Ubud in July with my 70-year-old mother. We are looking for a comfortable stay that is also budget-friendly, as we are travelling for nearly two weeks. While I initially thought about a hostel to save costs, I am worried about my mother's comfort and the accessibility for her. She can walk moderately but struggles with many stairs or long distances. Are there any mid-range hotels (ideally under 6000 INR/night) that offer good value, perhaps with an elevator or ground-floor rooms, and are close to vegetarian food options and temples? Or are there any specific 'family' hostels that are surprisingly comfortable and have private rooms with attached baths? We don't mind basic, but cleanliness and safety are paramount. Any personal experiences or recommendations would be highly appreciated!
