Pet-friendly homestays in Araku Valley for a Diwali getaway with my pug?

Namaste everyone! Planning a quick trip to Araku Valley for Diwali, around 20th-24th October. I'm looking for recommendations for homestays that are genuinely pet-friendly, as I'll be travelling with my pug, Sheru. Ideally, places with a bit of open space or a garden would be great. Budget is flexible for the right place, maybe ₹2000-₹4000 per night. Any firsthand experiences or suggestions would be super helpful! We prefer quiet, scenic spots over commercial hotels. Thanks in advance!

Hey! That's a cool plan, taking Sheru for Diwali. I haven't actually been to Araku Valley myself, this would be my first time doing an international trip later this year, maybe to Southeast Asia, so I'm trying to figure out all the visa stuff and budget planning. But for Araku, from what I've heard from friends, finding genuinely pet-friendly homestays that aren't just saying it but actually have space can be tricky. Especially around Diwali, places get booked up fast. You might have to call a few places directly instead of just checking online listings. I'd look for places slightly outside the main town area, they often have more garden space. You might find better luck with independent homestays rather than larger properties. Maybe try searching for "farm stays Araku" too, sometimes those are more open to pets and have more land. Is ₹4000 enough for a really good pet-friendly place there during Diwali, like with proper facilities for Sheru?

For a history enthusiast like you, Araku's pet-friendly options might be fewer with the specific open space you seek, but there are some interesting possibilities. While not directly linked to ancient battles, the tribal history of the region and its resistance to colonial rule offers its own narrative. Consider searching for homestays near Ananthagiri Hills, a short drive from Araku. Several small, privately run places there sometimes cater to pets. Check out 'Hilltop Hideaway' or 'Jungle Bells', though their pet policies can change, so a direct call is crucial. For Diwali, around October 20th-24th, booking ahead is vital. Expect to pay ₹3000-₹4500 per night for a decent place with some garden space, especially during peak season. Another strategy is to look slightly outside the main Araku Valley, towards Borra Caves. Some of the coffee estate stays in that area, while not homestays in the traditional sense, often have ample open grounds and might be more amenable to pets. Places like 'Chaparai Waterfalls Resort' sometimes allow well-behaved pets with prior notice, and they offer good views. Always confirm their specific pet charges and rules before committing.

Yo, Araku for Diwali with a pug? Nice. Not gonna lie, this isn't exactly a high-bandwidth zone, so don't expect fiber optic speeds for your pug's Twitch streams. Ping will be rough if you're thinking about any serious gaming. For actual pet-friendly places, check out Sri Sai Punnami Resort. It's more of a resort vibe than a pure homestay, but they're usually chill with pets and have some garden space. You're looking at around ₹3000-₹3500 a night for October, so it fits your budget. Another one to scope out is Vanajangi Homestay. It's a bit more rustic, definitely less "hotel" and more "stay." Their network is pretty much 4G if you're lucky, but the owners are usually cool with pets. Worth a call to confirm for Diwali, prices could fluctuate but should be in your range. Good luck with the trip, hope your pug enjoys the offline experience.
