Footwear for Tawang in Mid-October: Practicality for Varied Terrain vs. Evening Comfort?
I'm a F&B professional from Hyderabad planning a trip to Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, in mid-October. My itinerary involves exploring monasteries, some light trekking to viewpoints, and experiencing local culture, including potentially a few nicer dinner spots if they exist. I'm struggling with footwear choices – should I prioritize heavy-duty, waterproof hiking boots for potential mud/uneven terrain, or can I get away with a sturdier pair of comfortable, water-resistant sneakers/walking shoes, perhaps with a separate, more presentable option for evenings? I'm keen to avoid overpacking but also don't want to be caught unprepared for the weather or local conditions. Any specific brand or style recommendations that balance these needs would be highly appreciated. Not on a shoestring budget for gear.
